The Chairman of the Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission, Barrister Muhuyi Magaji Rimin Gado, has advocated for the establishment of an Anti-Corruption Transparency Unit at the state Ministry for Land and Physical Planning.
Muhuyi Magaji was speaking while receiving the Commissioner and the other management staffers of the Ministry on a courtesy visit to his office.
The Anti-Corruption boss said by taking such action the Ministry will be discharging its duties without challenges of Corruption practices and it will ensure transparency and accountability in the service.
The Chairman who expressed appreciation to the commissioner over the visit, hailed him for coming up with various initiatives aimed at enhancing service delivery in the Ministry.
He told the visitor that, over sixty percent of the cases at hand at the Anti-Graft Agency are of Land related, adding that the current move by the Commissioner will surely ease the work of the Anti-Graft Agency in that direction.
Muhuyi Magaji used the medium to advise the commissioner on the need to establish an Anti-Corruption Transparency Unit in the Ministry.
He assured me that his office would organize an enlightenment program for the staff of the Ministry in that regard to achieve the set goals.

He further revealed that the program will educate the staff workforce and management staffers of the Outfit on the ill of corrupt practices across Kano State.
He then assured his office of maximum support and cooperation.
On his part, Kano State Commissioner for Land and Physical Planning, Alhaji Yusuf Aliyu Kibiya, said they were in his office to strengthen the working relationship between the Ministry and the Agency.
Yusuf maintained that his Ministry is mingling with hundreds of people daily and that led to the reason for several Land cases daily, hence the need for collaboration between the two Agencies to address the issues amicably.
The Commissioner highlighted that, when he assumed duty, he witnessed some hitches at the Ministry, As a result, he summoned a management meeting which resulted in writing a memo to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for his kind approval.
He pointed out that, one of his new initiatives towards reviving the activities of the Ministry, was the establishment of a forensic Unit to check the issues arising mostly at the Courts of Law.
The move he said has already got approval from the Governor which was submitted to the state House of Assembly for final review and approval.
