May 29: Police Warns Jigawa Residents to Avoid Carrying Dangerous Weapons
AREWA AGENDA – The Nigeria Police Force in Jigawa State has warned residents against carrying dangerous weapons or items that may cause problems in the 29 May 2023 inauguration.
The command spokesperson, DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam disclosed this in a statement issued and made available to the newsmen on Sunday.
He said the command had concluded all security arrangements for the hitch-free May 29 inauguration ceremony scheduled to take place at Aminu Kano Triangle, Dutse.

Shiisu explained that the police would work assiduously with sister security agencies and relevant stakeholders for the seamless inauguration ceremony.
The command, therefore, warned non-state actors or any aggrieved persons or individuals who may plan to foment trouble to desist.
He said the command would not hesitate to subdue confrontational or any act of disorderliness.
“We are advising good people of Jigawa to turn out to the venue in an orderly manner and avoid carrying dangerous weapons or items that may trigger suspicion or apprehension. They should also avoid dangerous driving, over-loading, and over-speeding and observed traffic rules and regulations,” the statement read in part.
The Commissioner of Police, Jigawa State Police Command, CP Effiom Emmanuel Ekot, reiterated that the safety and security of Jigawa citizens are the utmost priority.
