May 29: Kano Governor-Elect, Abba Declare Assets, Liabilities
AREWA AGENDA – Barely three days to the inauguration, Kano State Governor-elect Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf declared assets and liabilities in a completed form submitted on Friday to the Code of Conduct Bureau, CCB, Kano office.
Chief Press Secretary to the Kano State, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa confirmed this in a press statement made available to the newsmen.
Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, accompanied by the CCB State Director, Hajia Hadiza Larai Ibrahim, emphasized that his asset declaration serves as a demonstration of his commitment to uphold transparency and accountability in governance.
By fulfilling this constitutional obligation prior to assuming office on May 29, the Governor-elect aims to set a solid foundation for his administration in Kano State.
Speaking during the submission of the asset declaration form, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf expressed his belief that public service is a noble calling, a duty to humanity, and affirmed his readiness to serve the people of Kano State, having earned their trust and confidence.

Furthermore, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf emphasized that the journey towards restoring sustainable development in all sectors of Kano State has begun. The Governor-elect also made it clear that all public officials, including political appointees who will serve in his administration, will be required to follow suit and declare their assets in accordance with the law.
