Maulud: Gov Abba Declares Monday Public Holiday
The Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf has declared Monday as a work-free day in continuation of the celebration of Eid- Maulud, to mark the 7th day of the birth of Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W).
This was made known in a press statement issued to newsmen on Thursday through the permanent secretary, human resource and service omprovement for head of service, Abba A Danguguwa.

Yusuf marked the holiday as a significant occasion to honour the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and is intended to provide an opportunity for the Civil Servants in the State to interact with families, and offer prayers at home.
The statement added that “It is hope that everyone will participate in the celebrations, reflect on the teachings of the Prophet and engage’ in activities that promote peace and unity for Kano State and the nation at large.”
