Market Demolition: El-Rufai Assures Traders of New Shops
AREWA AGENDA- Governor of Kaduna State, Malam Nasir El-Rufai has assured traders who lost their shops to the ongoing market demolition across the state that they will be given the right of first refusal when the new markets are completed.

Governor El-Rufai also assured that no trader will be short-changed in the re-distribution of shops while no government official or civil servant will be allocated a shop in any of the markets.
Daily Trust reports that the market structures at Kasuwar Barci in Tudun Wada area of Kaduna South LGA; Kasuwan Magani in Kajuru LGA; Kawo market in Kaduna North LGA; as well as Sabon Gari market in Zaria LGA have been demolished for reconstruction and modernisation.
A statement issued by the Governor’s Special Adviser on Media and Communications, Muyiwa Adekeye stated that El-Rufai had stated this while responding to a caller during a chat with selected media organisations at the weekend.
