Dr Magashi, Foundation bags two humanitarian Awards in Kano State.
AREWA AGENDA – Dr Aminu Magashi Garba and his foundation received two humanitarian awards in Kano last week.
The first honourary award was given to the AMG Foundation at the maiden Arewa 30 under 30 Stars Award based on the immense contribution of the foundation for engaging youths in various sectors across the country.
The award was organised by Arewa Agenda, PRNigeria and Daily Nigeria to encourage youths across 19 Northern states in motivating their effort towards achieving their goals in nation building.
While presenting the award, Dr Kabiru Sufi said, the youth in Kano state have testified to AMG foundation activities and the cheers when the foundation name is called has said it all.
Speaking while receiving the Awards, the Director Operations of Aminu Magashi Garba Foundation, Mal Jalo Sulaiman said, the goals of Dr Aminu and the foundation is to build the society and its youth. The youth are always left behind in various aspects of life which includes a lack of awareness, mentorship and support.
“This award means a lot, it shows that society is seeing the contributions made so far. It will be a motivation to keep us thriving in providing humanitarian services to society”, he added.

In another development, Hausa Fulani Youth Development and Orientation Forum, HAFYDOF Kano State Chapter also awarded the personality of Dr Aminu Magashi Garba with its merit award titled “HASKEN MATASAN KANO”, meaning the Light of Kano Youth for his foundation’s numerous interventions geared towards the development of youth particularly the sponsoring of the ‘Hasken Matasa’ Hausa weekly live Radio program aimed at educating and creating awareness to the youthful population.
The State Director of Affairs of HAFYDOF, Malam Kamal Aliyu Muhammad said, Dr Aminu Magashi Garba has shaped the lives and thoughts of millions of youth in the state via his foundation’s weekly sponsored radio programme at Express radio. The weekly radio programme gave HAFYDOF the idea to establish the title of the award “HASKEN MATASAN KANO”.
AMG foundation focuses on Health, Education, Security, Youth and Women empowerment and other socio-economic aspects in society.
