Lawmaker Donates Canoes To Sokoto Riverine Areas
AREWA AGENDA – The lawmaker representing Kebbe/Tambuwal federal constituency at the National Assembly, Hon Bala Kokani has donated canoes to ease transportation in the five districts in his constituency.
Kokani said the donation became necessary considering the hardship encountered by people while transporting goods and services on market days.
According to him, the canoes were distributed to the community leaders of Girkau, Sabon Birni, Maceri, Sha Alwashi, and Kebbe town, the headquarters of Kebbe local government area of the state.

He said the boats were secured and handed over to the riverine communities to ease their transportation and improve their fishing skills and farming activities.
The benefitting communities while expressing gratitude to the legislator for the gesture, urged others to emulate his sterling qualities.
Kokani is a seasoned politician who served in various capacities at both local, state, and national levels. He was a two-time local government council chairman, former commissioner for budget and economic planning and currently serving as a legislator in the House of Representatives for Kebbe/Tambuwal federal constituency.
