Kogi Journalists Congratulate Governor Ododo on Supreme Court Victory, Call For Unity

Journalists under the auspice of Kogi Central Journalists Guild (KOCJG) had congratulated Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo over his victory at the supreme court today, held in Abuja.

The statement jointly signed by the guild’s national president, Malam Muhammad Tijani Abdulsalam, and secretary, Mr Ozumi Abdul, described the governor’s victory at the aoex court as decisive one that reflects the unyielding support and mandate bestowed upon him by the people of Kogi State.

Kogi Central, Nigeria – In a remarkable affirmation of democracy and popular will, the Supreme Court today upheld the election of Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo as the Governor of Kogi State. This decisive victory reflects the unyielding support and mandate bestowed upon him by the people of Kogi State.

The statement also added that his success at the highest court underscores the trust and confidence the citizens of Kogi have placed in his leadership.

“Since taking office, Governor Ododo has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to enhancing the socioeconomic fabric of Kogi State.

“Notably, his administration has set a new precedent by ensuring that civil servants receive their salaries before the end of each month—a milestone that had eluded the state since its inception”.

The journalists also called on the governor’s opponents to transcend past all diffences and join hands with him to move the state to enviable heights, adding that the victory is for democracy, and collective pursuit of progress.

“In light of this monumental victory, we urge all parties involved to transcend past differences. We call on the governor’s opponents to set aside grievances and collaborate with him to propel Kogi State towards a brighter future.

” It is essential to remember that in this democratic journey, there are no victors or vanquished—only a collective pursuit of progress”.

The journalists reaffirm their supports for Governor Ododo’s administration, and look forward to witnessing continued advancements under his leadership.
