Kogi First Lady, Hajia Sefinat Empowers Women, Youth, With Free Skill Acquisition Training

In a strategic move to combat unemployment and promote economic empowerment, the wife of the Governor of Kogi State, Hajia Sefinat Ahmed Usman Ododo, has inaugurated a free skill acquisition training program targeted at women and youth across the state.

The initiative, which commenced today, is designed to equip over 700 beneficiaries with practical, marketable skills, positioning them to be competitive and self-sufficient in their respective trades.

Speaking on behalf of Hajiya Sefinat, Hon. Eunice Treasure Achimugu highlighted the importance of the program, urging participants to fully engage in the training. She emphasized the First Lady’s unwavering commitment to empowering the people of Kogi State, particularly in addressing the issues of crime, idleness, and drug abuse. This program specifically targets reducing the rising crime rate, as many crimes today are influenced by drug abuse and idleness.

The program, Sponsored by  Hajia sefinat through the Office of the Special Adviser, is expected to be a transformative opportunity for the participants, enhancing their economic prospects and contributing to the state’s development.

The event featured the presentation of admission letters to successful applicants, followed by a photo session to commemorate the occasion.
