12 Kidnap Victims Rescued in Katsina
AREWA AGENDA- Twelve travellers, who were kidnapped in Katsina on Sunday, have been rescued.
The victims were reportedly rescued with the use of some repentant bandits as intermediaries according to the Secretary to the State Government, Mustapha Inuwa, while receiving the rescued persons.

The victims were travelling from Niger State to Katsina State when their bus was ambushed around Mararrabar Kankara in Kankara Local Government Area on Sunday at about 9pm.
He said when the incident occurred, some repentant bandits, who keyed into the state government’s amnesty programme, were engaged to ensure the release of the victims.
“We worked to know the leadership of the kidnappers and sent message to release them unconditionally and no dime was paid.
They (kidnappers) released them unconditionally without any terms,” he mainteained. Adding that the victims, who are from Katsina, Niger, Anambra and Kogi states, will soon be reunited with their families.
