Today 30th October 2020 Kano Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO) held an official ceremony entitled NMMS , National Mass Metering Scheme. “It is a Federal Government project to distributing six million free meters in collaboration with Kedco and other electric companies to one million users of Kano, Katsina and Jigawa”

Among the guest were the representative of the District head of Tarauni Local government, the area head of Hausawa, the division police officer (D.P.O) representative, Filin Hokey Division, the Principal GGSS Hausawa and other Kedco staff and customers.

“At the first part of the distribution, we are going to install 87000 meters, after which we continue bit by bit from house to another” said by the KEDCO Customer Care Officer, Alhaji Abubakar Yusuf.

He further warned people not to tamper with the free meters or allow others to either by commission or omission do the same. The meters are ” National Physical Asset” as he said.
