Kano Sons Changing Nigeria and the World

AREWA AGENDA – Currently, there are two (2) Kano citizens contributing immensely to the sustainable development of their respective local communities, State, Nigeria and the world. These global leaders in humanitarian and philanthropic efforts are;
1- Dr Aminu Magashi Garba
2- Prof Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo
Both hail from Kano and their names indicate that they are of kano origin, precisely, Gwarzo and Magashi respectively.
Prof Gwarzo successfully initiated and established Maryam Abacha American University Niger (MAAUN) in Maradi witty another college in Kaduna and Kano to commence soon. He is the president and founder of MAAUN and chair board MAAUN Foundation.
These initiatives are currently producing students from across Nigeria and around the world, many of them lost such opportunity and even lost hope.

Dr Magashi, a medical doctor Who initiated an NGO named community Health and research initiative, capable of contributing to save lives of mothers and children in Kano and Nigeria. Recently, he facilitated the inclusion of drugs (Cabetocin) into a national essential drug list to address bleeding birth related as one of the major cause of maternal mortality. This is in response to poor storage facilities that the drugs can adapt to.
He is involved in getting funding to support health challenges in Africa and also a representative at the World Bank group.
Both Magashi and Gwarzo are philanthropists to the core through changing the lives of local communities on a daily basis from education, water, health to mention but few.
