Kano Police Arrest Notorious Thug, 14 Others for Thuggery-Related Crimes
The Kano State Police Command has successfully apprehended Inuwa Zakari, also known as “Gundura,” along with 14 accomplices, in a series of operations aimed at combatting thuggery in the state.
Gundura, a 24-year-old identified as a significant threat in the state, was implicated in a violent attack on a Vigilante Commander, resulting in severe injuries, as well as the vandalism of a police vehicle.
The arrests occurred between October 25 and 27, 2024, as part of a directive from Commissioner of Police CP Salman Dogo Garba.

This operation underscores the police’s commitment to eradicating violent crime in Kano State. A police spokesperson emphasized that thuggery will not be tolerated, assuring residents of ongoing efforts to maintain safety and order.
The arrested suspects are currently under investigation at the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and are expected to face legal action shortly.
