Newly Elected Kano PDP Chairman, Yusuf Kibiya Unveils Vision for Change
The newly elected Chairman of Kano chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Honourable Yusuf Ado Kibiya has unveiled new visions and templates for the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The unveiling of the vision was made known on Monday In a press conference held at the Press Center in Kano State.
Outlining his vision for the party and the state during a significant gathering attended by party leaders and journalists, Kibiya assured that there will be needed change in the party, both at the state and national levels.
Kibiya, who assumed office on October 12, expressed gratitude to those who supported his election, emphasizing the historic nature of the occasion. “Today is a day of history and hope for PDP in Kano and Nigeria,” he stated, highlighting the collective strength and unity within the party.

Addressing the pressing challenges facing Kano and the nation, Kibiya criticized the current government for its failures in critical sectors such as the economy, education, and healthcare. He expressed concern over the degradation of infrastructure, particularly in areas vital for economic growth, and called for immediate action to restore public trust in leadership.

He then proposed the creation of a long-term development plan, developed collaboratively with citizens, to address the state’s needs and aspirations.
He vowed that a platform will be established for discussing and finding solutions to various challenges facing Kano, including leadership crises and social issues,
emphasizing the importance of discipline and accountability within the party, fostering an environment that encourages excellence.
In his closing remarks, Kibiya extended an invitation to all citizens, both party members and non-members, to join in the effort to create a brighter future for Kano. “Your ideas, participation, and advocacy are essential as we strive for excellence and true service to our people,” he urged, asserting that collective action is vital for meaningful change.
