Kano State Humanitarian Ministry Collaborates with UN to Tackle Poverty, Other Challenges
In a significant move to combat pressing humanitarian issues and reduce poverty, a delegation from the Kano State Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation met with key United Nations officials at the UN House in Abuja.
The delegation, led by Commissioner Hon. Amina Abdullahi Sani, engaged in fruitful discussions with Mohamed M. Malick Fall, the UN Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator, along with notable UN representatives including Maryam Uwais and Thembekile Dube-Ncube.
The meeting aimed to explore strategic partnerships and collaborations to enhance the effectiveness of humanitarian efforts in Kano State.
Both parties highlighted the urgency of aligning local initiatives with international frameworks to tackle critical issues such as poverty, social protection, malnutrition, and food insecurity.
