‘I Can’t Continue’, Kano Hisbah Boss Resigns Over Gov. Abba’s Comment
The Commander General of Kano State Hizbah, Sheikh Aminu Ibrahim Daurawa, has resigned.
The Commander announced this on his Instagram page, stating that he has tried his best to uphold the morality of Kano people including TikTokers but to no avail.
He made the statement on his Instagram page on Friday morning from Kaduna, where he was attending a retreat organized by the Kano state assembly.
He apologized to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf over the issue and some comments made by the Governor regarding his work.

On Thursday Friday February 28 the state Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf during a gathering with Ulamas at Kano Government House criticized how Kano Hisbah under the leadership of Sheikh Aminu Ibrahim Daurawa are handling their work on fighting immorality in the state.
Recently the Hizbah also arrested a popular tiktoker in Kano Murja Kunya over the spread of immorality on her page which and when she was taken to court the judge remanded her in prison but before the day she will be taken to court she was released .
The release of Murja Kunya was alleged to have been influenced by powerful forces within and outside the government .
Sheikh Aminu Ibrahim Daurawa was commander of the Hizbah Board for three times between 2011 and 2015 and between 2015 and 19 and between 2023 to 24.
He is among the popular Islamic clerics in northern Nigeria.
