Kano Govt to Partner with NGOs on Development – Yardada
AREWA AGENDA – The Senior Special Adviser to the Kano State Governor on Non Government Organization, Hajiya ‘Yardada Mai Kano Bichi has said the Kano State Government is ready to cooperate and partner with Non Governmental Organizations (NGOs) towards needed development across the state.
Yardada disclosed this to newsmen on Sunday while speaking in commemoration of the world NGO day in the state.
She noted that more than 10 million NGOs celebrates the day around the globe to showcase their success and to allow many small grassroots organizations gain the recognition they deserve.
‘Yardada stressed that, Kano State government celebrates the day for the first time in history.

“I will like to use this opportunity to reiterate the passion determination and commitment of His Excellency to continue to partner and support the initiatives, projects and programs of all NGOs whom are development partners and international organization who find Kano state convenient and suitable to implement their work” Yardada stated
While appreciating the efforts of Community Health Research Initiative CHR for giving all necessary support, she further commends the CSOs, KSCHMA KUSH that contributed to make the day effective in the state, alongside with media.
Also part of the activities done to celebrate and commemorate the day were; visiting the orphanage home, student talk drawn from the 5 councils and Capacity Building for NGOs.
