Kano State Government has directed the immediate suspension of increment of school fees at all private primary and secondary schools.
The government also said the sale of books and uniforms by private schools have been put on hold.
Baba Abubakar Umar, Special Adviser to Kano State Governor, on Private Schools, made this knowned on Sunday.
It could be recalled that, on Saturday, Baba Umar has announced the government decision of revoking operational license of all private schools in the state
Arewa Agenda gathered that, the government commenced issuance of new registration forms to the school owners immediately after announcing the cancellation of the certificates.

On Sunday, Baba Umar said the issuance of application form for registration for operation of private schools will end on Friday, August 18th, 2023.
Baba Umar also warned that,the private schools operators who fail to apply before the expiration of the application date would be sanctioned if they are found to be operating.
When contacted by this paper on the directive for suspension of school fees increments, Abubakar Umar said, parents should report any school that is asking them for fee increment.
He said government will not allow any school to increase school fees unilaterally.
He assured that the state government will ensure that parents pay school fees of their children at the same time because the operators are not charity organisation
