KADUNA: 2 Female Corpses Recovered, 3 rescued From Bandits
AREWA AGENDA – Troops of Operation Forest Sanity have discovered two unidentified female victims killed by bandits and also rescued three kidnapped victims from Chikun forest in Kaduna State.
The troops also destroyed several camps during the operations, according to Commissioner for Internal Security and Homes Affairs in Kaduna State.
Aruwan said the feedback to the Kaduna State Government revealed that the troops engaged the bandits around Kwanti, Chikun LGA.

“As the bandits fled into the forest, they left behind four motorcycles recovered by the troops. The troops burned down the dozens of camps in sight. Upon scouring the area, the troops found two male kidnapped victims, identified as Muntaka Abubakar and Nwabueze John. Another kidnapped victim, 85-year-old Tabawa Laraba, was rescued by the troops in Kuzo general area.
“The troops discovered two unidentified female victims killed by bandits,” he said.
He said the corpses were evacuated while the rescued victims were reunited with their families, after first aid was administered on one of them who was injured.
She was examined and debriefed before being reunited with her family.
He said the troops extended fighting patrols to Abrom, Gabachuwa and Kujeni forest areas spanning Kajuru, Chikun and Kachia LGAs.
He said the bandits similarly fled their camps onaaighting the advancing forces.
