JUST IN: Bago Clinches APC Guber Ticket in Niger State
AREWA AGENDA ; A member of the House of Representatives representing Chanchaga Federal Constituency of Niger State, Hon. Umar Bago, has defeated Mohammed Idris Malagi to clinch the governorship ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Bago polled 540 votes to defeat his closest rival, Malagi, who scored 386 votes and the state deputy governor, Ahmed Mohammed Ketso, who scored 17 votes.
Another contestant, Eng Sani Ndanusa, who is a former Minister of Sport, scored 84; Mohammed Nda Kutigi, a former Director of Currency at the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) scored one vote, and Dr. Mohammed Kutigi scored one vote.
