JUST IN: Aminu Wali’s Son, Sadiq emerges governorship candidate in Kano PDP’s primaries
AREWA AGENDA – Son of former Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammed Sadiq Wali known has won the governorship primaries of the Peoples Democratic Party in Kano.
Wali polled 455 to beat Ibrahim Little his closest rival who came second with 333 votes.
Sadiq Wali was Commissioner for Water Resources in the Ganduje’s administration.
The election took place at Sani Abacha Youth Centre, Madobi Road in Kano.

A former Chief of Staff to Kwankwaso Dr Yunusa Adamu Dangwani polled 276 votes, Dr Yusuf Bello Dambatta who was Kwankwaso’s Commissioner for Land and Planning polled 182.
Former Ganduje’s Commissioner Muaz Magaji polled 25 votes, Mustapha Bala Getso 20 votes and Muhuyi Magaji who polled 25 votes.
Magaji had earlier withdrawn from the governorship race to contest for Kano North Senatorial seat
The primaries was contested by six aspirants while the two other aspirants Jafar Sani Bello and Muhammad Abacha participated in the primaries conducted by the Sagagi faction of the party.
The Chairman of the election committee Chief Bunmi Adu declared Wali with the highest number of votes as winner of the Primaries.
