Ace journalist and public affairs commentator, Jafar Jafar has knocked Nigerian lawmakers over their reckless spending despite the economic woes the country is grappling with.
The Daily Nigerian publisher highlighted made this known via his post on X, formally Twitter.
According to him, while the masses are struggling with their daily meals, the Nigerian lawmakers swim in reckless abundance.
“While the masses groan under biting hardship, Nigerian lawmakers wallow in abundance.”
He added that President Tinubu’s recent request to increase the 2024 budget by N6.2 trillion included luxury hampers for lawmakers, disguised as constituency projects.
