ICPC Launches ‘National Ethics and Integrity Policy’ in Kano

The national ethics and integrity policy has been described as a child of necessity that was conceived and delivered out of urgent need to resuscitate and rejuvenate the lost vales of honesty, and integrity as a nation.
The Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC) board member hon. Justice Adamu Bello rtd disclosed this in a welcome Remark during a zonal dialogue organzied by the Office of the Secretary to the government of the Federation (OSGF), The Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences commision (ICPC), and the National Orientation Agency (NOA) on National Ethics and Integrity Policy in Kano yesterday.

He stated that the values of truthfulness, nationalism, and respect for human dignity of yesteryears have been lost, and that is why corruption has become so rampant in the society.
On his part the Director of National Orientation Agency (NOA) Kano Ibrahim Garba Kagara said there is the need for spreading the newly introduced national ethics which was introduced by the federal government of Nigeria as it contains specific objectives that promotes human dignity ,patriotism, personal responsibility, integrity as well as professionalism.
Furthermore, the Director Public Enlightment and Education of ICPC Muhammad Ashiru Baba said it is possible to strenghten the efforts at positive national transformation if all citizens and those who relate with nigeria imbibe and embody these core values.
He further said the country can reach national development goals when the meaning of the national purpose, frame of minds, attitudes, behaviour, choices, and actions based on the demands of National core values have been reframed.
