Hope Rises as 100 Students Get Tejuosho’s Scholarships in FCT
In a bid to promote inclusive education and empowerment in the Country, the Queen Adenike Tejuosho (QAT) Foundation, founded by Halimat Tejuosho, has awarded scholarships to People Living With Disabilities (PLWDs) and out-of-school children.
The QAT Foundation’s scholarship initiative is a laudable effort of the Philanthropist, to address the educational needs of marginalized groups and promote inclusivity in the Nigeria’s education sector.
The scholarships, forty each for out-of-school children in primary and secondary school totaling 80 as well as twenty undergraduate students, totalling 100 was aimed to enable them continue with their education and build a brighter future for themselves and their respective families.
Furthermore, educational support tool kits including bags and writing materials which are critical for teaching and learning processes were equally distributed.
Speaking at the program in Karonmajige settlement, Abuja on Tuesday, Tejuosho expressed her commitment to empowering vulnerable groups through education, stressing that education is a fundamental right, and as such people must believe that everyone deserves access to it, regardless of their background or abilities.
She added that this phase of the scholarship only targeted hundred people, meanwhile she avered that the foundation is rolling out other packages that would be of great benefits to the larger society.

“The initiative, carried out by the QAT Foundation today, aims to provide access to education for marginalized groups and promote inclusivity in the education sector as panacea for relative peace and development.
“However, we have other lines of opportunities coming up very soon for the larger society like we always do. The gesture is to assist humanity in our own little efforts even as development is a collective efforts.” Tejuosho added.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Miss Aisha Mohammed, a secondary school student, expressed her gratitude to the QAT Foundation, saying that the scholarship has given her hope and chance to continue with her education.
The scholarship recipients praised Tejusho’s exceptional philanthropist in using her hard earned money to meet the need of the less privilege across the country and as such urged that the government of president Bola Ahmed Tinubu incorporate her into his administration to enable her touch more lives.
Aisha said, ”I am so grateful for this scholarship. It has given me hope and a chance to continue my education. I promise to work hard and make the most of this opportunity. Thank you, Halimat Tejuosho Foundation, for believing in me.
”These are the kind of persons that government should identify and give them responsibility to head pro-people agencies and parastatals. Her Humanitarian gesture is highly commendable and we pray that God will take her to that position that she can be able to assist more people especially the less privilege.” Aisha added.
