2024 Hajj: Kano Prospective Pilgrims Seek Extension of Registration Deadline
Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has sought an extension of the 12th February deadline stipulated for registration and payment of fare for 2024 hajj.
The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has shifted the deadline for the second time to enable prospective pilgrims make deposits despite the new Saudi Arabia regulation.

The Director-General of the state board Alhaji Laminu Rabi’u Danbappa, made the plea on Monday while supervising the ongoing registration of new intending pilgrims at the board’s headquarters.
He emphasized that there are significant number of people intending to pay for this year’s Hajj, warranting an extension to meet the set targets.
In a statement by Sulaiman Dederi, spokesman of the board, Alhaji Laminu Rabi’u Danbappa urged the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria to facilitate those interested in paying the full Hajj fare, ensuring they have the opportunity to do so.
Furthermore, Alhaji Laminu Rabi’u Danbappa applauded NAHCON for securing the Federal government consideration of a rebate on the exchange rate for intending pilgrims, resulting in the Hajj seat price being fixed at 4.699 million.
