Gwale LGA Honours Aminu Magashi Garba Foundation With Award Of Excellence
AREWA AGENDA – As a mark of appreciation for exemplary service to humanity and society, Gwale Local Government Area of Kano State have honoured Aminu Magashi Garba Foundation with an Award of Excellence last week Wednesday during the occasion of the flagging off of Mosquito Residual Spray and Fumigation which took place at Chiranci ward.
The award was presented to AMG Foundation by the LGA Chairman, Khalid Ishaq Diso who was represented by the Deputy Chairman, Hon. Bashir Kasim Dandago, was meant to appreciate the various interventions done to the LGA by the foundation in order to improve environmental sanitation in the LGA.
Recall that In 2021, AMG Foundation repaired the five (5) refuse collection and disposal tricycles belonging to the LGA to ease the burden of refuse collection. Also, in August and September 2022 respectively, the foundation provided 7500 litres of surface water tanks to Diso Primary Healthcare Centre and connected them with an existing borehole and provided chemicals and incentives for mosquito residual spray and fumigation in the ten (10) wards of the LGA. In his speech, the Gwale LGA Chairman thanked and commended the efforts of the AMG Foundation in supporting the LGA.

While appreciating the Gwale LGA’s gesture, AMG Foundation called on the numerous foundations and wealthy individuals in the State to join hands and partner with it to improve environmental sanitation in the State.
