Northern Youth Group Declares Special Fasting, Prayer in Support of Zulum
AREWA AGENDA – Arewa Youths Consultative Council, AYCC, has declared Monday 10th August 2020 for special fasting and prayers in support of Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum.
In a statement Saturday signed by the groups National Secretary General, Prince Oche Solomon Okibe and obtained by Arewa Agenda, the AYCC said the move was part of it’s volunteer effort toward the everlasting peace, stability and revival of prosperity in the state and the region of Arewa in general.

The Executive Governor of Borno State.
Dear Sir,
OUR SUPPORT FOR THE GOVERNOR AND THE PEOPLE OF BORNO STATE.
We wish to strongly extend our solidarity to Borno state Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, who in all ramifications reflect the true symbol of Northern Nigeria. From General elections to this moment, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum have always make us proud, proven different expectations wrong with unbelievable strives and countless unimaginable instances that gave us so many practical definitions of dogged, transparent, accountable and people based leadership.

Arewa Youths Consultative Council have closely watched and reviewed the realities of events, policies, programs and people based conditions around the 19 Northern States with verifiable evidence. We therefore wish to commend the Governor for his realistic efforts full of commitment, sacrifices, readiness and vigorous energy in governing the people of Borno State; despite the chronic level of insecurity in the states that ought to distract his administration, yet he has always remain the most publicly appreciated governor in Northern Nigeria.
Our Coordinators of the 19 Northern States and other Excos of the National Council have jointly commend Professor Babagana Umara Zulum. We’ve resolved to commit volunteer efforts, resources and energy to support the Governor and the people of Borno state with special fasting and Prayers toward the everlasting peace, stability and revival of prosperity in the state and the region of Arewa in general. We therefore urge all members and friends of AYCC to kindly consider Monday the 10th day of August 2020 as the beginning of such fasting and prayers. We appeal to all Christians, Muslims and traditionalists to join us in this selfless fasting and prayers; for peace and stability of Borno and the North is the Sacrosanct priority of all.
On a final note, we wish to reaffirm our endless support to Professor Babagana Umara Zulum for his rugged approach, doggedness, resilience and uniqueness. He is the actual Mandela of our own time, the Sarkin Yakin Arewa, Jagoran talakawa, the new ‘Sardauna in Borno’ and the truest definition of a leader worthy of appraisal.
