The gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the general 2023 election, Dr. Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna, has paid for the registration of 100 female students who are indigenous to Kano State.

Independent Mirror reports that Gawuna, the former Deputy Governor of Kano, requested the University to select and forward the names of 100 final-year female students who were unable to pay for their registration.

“The university selected 100 final-year female students and forwarded their names to the former Deputy Governor,” said a staff member of the university.

The university acknowledged the receipt of the cheques and expressed its appreciation to Gawuna for coming to the aid of the students.
