FG commends Ganduje for setting up cancer center in Kano
NEWS DIGEST – The Federal Government has commended Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State for establishing an international standard cancer center in the state.
In a statement by the Chief Public Relations Officer in the state Ministry of Health, Mr. Isma’il Garba Gwammaja, the Acting Head of service of the Federation, Mrs. Folashade Yemi Esan, made the commendation when she led a high powered delegation of Federal Permanent Secretaries, Accountant – General and Auditor- General of the Federation to Kano state.

According to Gwammaja, the delegates of the Federal Government were in Kano for 2020 procurement retreat hosted by the state government.
He added that the delegates who visited the world class cancer center said establishing the center center and hospital itself were propitious.
Mrs. Folashade, who was represented by the Federal Permanent Secretary, Special Services Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Dr Aminu Mohammad Bello Shamaki, said that they decided to visit the center in Kano because of its significant important to the lives of not only Kano citizens but Nigerians as a whole.
He expressed appreciation to Governor Ganduje of Kano State for taking a bold step in actualising the project and described it as indelible mark in the history of the state.
