EndBadGovernance Protest: Kwankwaso Fumes Over Arraignment of Minors
The presidential candidate of the All Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in the 2023 general elections, and a national leader of the party, Senator Rabi’u Kwankwaso has expressed his shock at the arraignment of 67 minors by the Nigeria Police Force in Abuja on Friday.
The former Kano State governor made his discontentment about the issue known in a press statement he personally signed that was made available to the pressmen late on Friday night.
He condemned the unusual number of minors facing charges, arguing that it violates fundamental human rights and dignity. “As leaders, it is our duty to protect the most vulnerable among us, particularly children,” Kwankwaso stated.
The former Kano State governor also criticized the stringent bail conditions imposed on the minors, which he deemed absurd.
