Governor El-Rufai Appoints Bamalli As 19th Fulani Emir of Zazzau
AREWA AGENDA – Governor Nasir Elrufai of Kaduna State has appointed Ambassador Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli as the 19th Fulani Emir of Zazzau.
A statement by the governor on his twitter handle said the appointment takes immediate effect.
Bamalli a former Nigerian Ambassador to Thailand is an ally of governor Elrufai, he was a former acting managing director of Minting and Security Company.
He will be succeeding Shehu Idris who died on the 20th of September 2020.
The new Emir until his appointment holds the traditional title of Magajin Garin Zazzau.

He was Born on June 8, 1966 in Zaria, his father, Nuhu Bamalli held the title of Magajin Garin Zazzau before the title was transferred to him.
The emir attended his primary and secondary education in Kaduna city and is a graduate of law from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
He has a Master’s degree in international affairs and diplomacy and had attended several national and international courses from Harvard and Oxford Universities as well as Northwestern University in Chicago and the University of Pennsylvania.
