DSS Partners Kano CSOs to Strengthen Intelligence Synergy, Enhance Security Management
In a demonstration of sustained and proactive civic engagement, a delegation from the League of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) Kano State was yesterday, Wednesday, December 10, 2025, hosted by the State Director, Department of State Security Services (DSS), at the Command Headquarters.
The visit, a cornerstone of the League’s year-end activities, was aimed at strengthening the non-state actor partnership within the State’s security architecture to counter evolving dynamics, particularly relating to challenges of banditry & kidnapping for ransom (KFR).

A major outcome of the high-level discussion was the assurances of the command towards a sustained partnership focused on maximizing intelligence fusion.
The Command commended the League for its noble and proactive initiatives towards promoting a secure and peaceful Kano environment. The Director emphasized that this strategic collaboration is vital for optimizing the agency’s objectives, providing a unified front that leverages community intelligence to better safeguard the lives and assets of Kano citizens and contribute to national security stability.
The sustained partnership, he argued provides high-value, community-derived intelligence useful to the DSS’s strategic operations, marking a new chapter in security pre-emption against criminal and subversive elements in the state.
