Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s recent educational interventions have been described as “exceptional foresight” which has saved many students from giving up their educational pursuits.
Applauding the governor, Citizens for Development and Education (CDE), a Kano Based Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), said the interventions which paid off 7000 indigenous students’ tuition fees at Bayero University and a 50% discount for other indigenous students in state-owned tertiary institutions, is one of a “kind gesture”.
The Executive Director, CDE, Amb. Ibrahim Waiya stated this in a press release to celebrate the governor who provided succor to the students and parents in the state at such a critical time.

“We feel obliged to commend Eng. Abba Kabir Yusuf, for providing this succor to parents and students studying at the state-owned tertiary institutions, who could have been in a difficult situation to raise the money for school fees”.
“This act of exceptional foresight has now saved many of Kano State students who had made up their minds to give up on their studies. The act deserves commendations, as the future of many students have been saved from destruction”.
