Buni directs rehabilitation of Geidam- Mainasoroa road
AREWA AGENDA – As part of the to improve economic activities between Nigeria and neighboring Niger Republic, Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe state has directed the State Ministry of Works, Yobe Road Maintenance Agency to liaise with the office of the Secretary to the State Government towards rehabilitation of Geidam to Mainasoroa road.
Buni also directed the rehabilitation of Garin Gada site as well as Geidam – Bukarti road.
The governor gave the directive at the ground breaking ceremony for the construction of new ultra-modern market in Geidam town.

Similarly, the state ministry of works, Yobe State Geographic Information Service and the Chairman Geidam Local Government Caretaker Committee were equally directed to liaise with the SSG office to come up with a permanent site for Geidam cattle market to enable the dealers settle down to enjoy ease of discharging their businesses.
He thanked the people of Geidam for supporting his administration in the implementation of government policies and programmes in the area.
Governor Buni further appealed to them to conduct themselves peacefully and pray for peaceful conduct of the forthcoming elections in the state and Nigeria at large.
