Borno Govt. Distributes N225 Million Foodstuffs, Cash to Vulnerable Households in Bama LGA
Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum, spearheaded the distribution of N225 million in cash and food provisions to more than 70,000 vulnerable families in Bama Local Government Area.

Governor Zulum traveled to Bama over the weekend, dedicating two days to coordinating humanitarian efforts and consulting with security forces to enhance community security measures.
The distribution commenced on Sunday, with over 45,000 women receiving N5000 cash and traditional wrappers each. On Monday, approximately 25,000 male household heads were provided with food supplies, including one bag of rice and one bag of maize grain per beneficiary.
Addressing the pressing needs of communities affected by Boko Haram violence, Governor Zulum reaffirmed the government’s commitment to prioritizing assistance for vulnerable populations lacking access to livelihood resources.
He stressed the significance of these interventions in curbing the vulnerability of individuals to recruitment by insurgent groups.
Accompanying the governor during the distribution were key officials, including Engr. Bukar Talba, Chairman of the Borno palliative distribution committee, Dr. Zainab Gimba, House of Representatives member for Bama, Ngala, and Kala-Balge, as well as other senior government representatives.
