Borno First Lady, NGO, Organized 2020 Breast Cancer Awareness
AREWA AGENDA- Wife of Borno State Governor, Dr. Mrs Falmata Babagana Umara Zulum in collaboration with Multy Aid and Charity Initiative organized breast cancer awareness campaign at multipurpose hall in Maiduguri.
Dr. Shehu Mohammed in his presentation stated that, breast cancer is a dangerous disease which need serious attention, he also said constants medical check up of their breast will enable them dictate whether or not they have the disease and constant awareness will also enable women to understand the harmfulness of the disease most especially nursing mother’s and men are not left out of disease.
Lastly he thanked Her Excellency for her kind gesture in organising such a remarkable event and the Borno a Government under the leadership of Gov. Zulum for paying more attention in health sector in the state.

The wife of the Borno state governor, Dr. Mrs. Falmata Babagana Umara Zulum in her remark stated that, 26 October is a day set aside for breast cancer awareness campaign and show solidarity to thousands of our women who are battling with breast cancer and also celebrate women who are breast cancer free.
She noted that the awareness campaign of breast cancer is for women and also men, and urged all men to encouraged their wives, sisters and mother’s to go for regular check up to contend the disease at an early stage and I think this will help low income group while other factors can be modified through information and advocacy such as unhealthy food, drugs addict, smoking and alcohol amongst others.
The Governor’s wife assured the good people of Borno state that MAC Initiative Multy Aid and Charity Initiative will do all its possible best to continue the awareness campaign.
While presenting kits to women at the event Borno first lady further confirmed the availability of testing machine for breast cancer free of charge.
