Kano Censors Board Moves to Regulate Islamic Praise Singers
AREWA AGENDA – The Executive Secretary of Kano State Censorship Board, Alhaji isma’ila Naa’bba Affakallah has reaffirmed the boards resolves to sanitize the activities of Islamic praise singers across the State.
According to a statement signed by the boards Information Officer, Sharif Zahraddeen Usman Kofar Nassarawa and sent to Arewa Agenda, Alhaji Affakallah stated this today while inaugurating the newly elected leadership of the Islamic Praise Singers Association in his office.
The Executive Secretary enjoined the new leadership to complement efforts by the board in getting rid of bads eggs among Islamic praise singers.
Alhaji Affakallah promised free registration of the new Association with Corporate Affairs Commission to enable them have legal backing in all their activities.
He explained that when properly registered, the Association would be known as Amalgamation of Kano State Islamic praise singers under the leadership of Mallam Sidi Abba, Bashir Dan Musa and Jamilu Kofar Waika among others.
Earlier, mallam Bashir Dan Musa has praised the effort of the Executive Secretary of the Censorship Board, towards sanitizing the activities of Islamic praise singers in the state.
He therefore assured of their support and cooperation towards achieving the desired goals.
