Bauchi Within The Week Under Review

On Monday, 5th October, 2020, His Excellency, Governor Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir has celebrated his 62nd birthday. The celebration was climaxed by a colourful event and gifts’ presentations.
Special Assistant to the Governor on New Media, Lawal Muazu Bauchi reported that, in her effort to celebrate her lovely husband, the Bauchi State First Lady, Hajiya Aisha Bala Mohammed has organised a special birthday dinner.
Speakers at the dinner including the Deputy Governor, His Excellency, Senator Baba Tela, Speaker, Bauchi State House of Assembly, Chief of Staff, Government House Bauchi, Dr Ladan Salihu and Engineer Salmanu Mohammed, an elder brother of the Governor saluted the Governor on his birthday anniversary.
They described the governor as a humble and nice leader who respected his colleagues and leaders of the society.
The First Lady congratulated Governor Bala on his 62nd birthday anniversary and wished him well and success in his future endeavour.
Shortly after cutting the birthday cake, Governor Bala received many birthday gifts from well-wishers.
Governor Bala used the celebration to rededicate his services to the people of the state because of the opportunity they offered him to lead the state.
The Governor who took time to mention his new plans for Bauchi state urged members of his cabinet to do more sacrifice to achieve the set targets.
He pledged to continue with the execution of abandoned road projects across the state for the infrastructural development of the state.
Governor Bala said the administration will continue to work with stakeholders to bring the needed projects in the state.
In a related development, His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Mohammed has been presented with birthday gifts by the Special Operations Command of the Nigerian Air Force Base Bauchi led by Wing Commander MM Muazu during the governor’s 62nd birthday.
Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Mohammed Sabiu Baba and Chief of Staff, Government House Bauchi, Dr Ladan Salihu were in attendance during the presentation of the present.
Meanwhile, the His Excellency, the Governor had received special gifts from members of his Press Crew and Bauchi Decides as part of their gift for the celebration of his 62nd birthday.
Governor Bala expressed gratitude to them for presenting him with the birthday gifts.
The Senior Special Assistant on Media to the Governor, Comrade Mukhtar Gidado led the teams for the presentation of the birthday gifts.
Away from birthday celebration to infrastructural development, the abandoned CBN, Federal Lowcost to Railway road project which was reawarded by the administration of His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed is now at the completion stage. The administration of Governor Bala considered completion of the present as very important considering its impact on the well-being of benefitting communities.
Still on infrastructural development, the ongoing road project from Kankare, Udubo to Gamawa which was reawarded by the administration of His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed is going on smoothly with remarkable progress and successes.
With the commitment of the administration of Governor Bala towards the completion of the abandoned projects coupled with the determination of the contractor handling the project, the road project will be completed within a shortage period.

On Wednesday, 7th October, 2020 comes a report that the Executive Governor of Bauchi State Senator Bala Muhammad was at Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport alongside former governor Babangida Aliyu of Niger state and Bauchi State PDP Chairman Alhaji Hamza Koshe Akuyam among others on their way to Ondo state for an official visit.
While in Ondo State, the team of Governors under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party PDP visited the Paramount Ruller of Akure Kingdom of Edo State, Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi.
The visit of the PDP Governors was to seek for the Royal Father’s blessing for the successful conduct of their official assignment in the state.
Meanwhile, His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed and other governors of the People’s Democratic Party PDP attended the closing ceremony of the gubernatorial mega rally for Mr Yitayo Jegede, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party for the October 10, 2020 governorship election in Ondo State.
The participation of Governor Bala at the rally was part of his solidarity and support to the PDP candidate.
The National Chairman of the party and PDP governors and other gladiators of the party were in attendance.
Reports on Thursday, 8th October, 2020 indicated that members of the PDP 2019 General Election Review Committee began their visitations to top PDP members.
The committee under the leadership of His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed visited an elder statesman and former minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Mr Jerry Gana.
Elder Jerry Gana has been a key player in Nigeria’s political system.
The entourage included Governor Bala, former governor of Niger State, Babangida Aliyu, former minister of Special Duties Tanimu Turaki and Emanuel Agbo, the Deputy National Secretary of PDP among others
In continuation of their engagements with critical stakeholders, members of the Committee on 2019 General Election Review of the PDP led by His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed met with His Excellency, the former governor of Ogun State Mr Gbenga Denial at his residence.
The members are His Excellency, the former governor of Niger State, Babangida Aliyu, former minister of Special Duties Tanimu Turaki and Emanuel Agbo, the Deputy National Secretary of PDP.
The committee also visited Former Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Alhaji Namadi Sambo.
Still on visitations, the members of the PDP Committee on 2019 General Election Review chaired by His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed paid an advocacy visit to the Former Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
The visit was in continuation of the committee’s engagements with critical stakeholders in the People’s Democratic Party.
Governor Bala who is the chairman of the committee while answering questions from journalists shortly after the visit, said they embarked on visits to critical stakeholders to seek for their inputs on what will assist the PDP to take over the mantle of leadership of Nigeria’s 2023 General elections.
Governor Bala appreciated the former Vice President for his support to the party and Nigeria, urging him to do more for better Nigeria.
Members of the delegation are His Excellency, former governor of Niger State, Babangida Aliyu, former Minister of Special Duties Tanimu Turaki and Emanuel Agbo, the Deputy National Secretary of PDP.
The committee had on Friday 9th October, 2020 continued its advocacy visits.
The first visit was on Mr Iyorchia Ayu, a former minister of Industry during the administration of former President Olusegun Obasanjo.
Mr Iyorchia Ayu once served as President of the Senate from 1992-1993.
From Mr Iyorchia Ayu residence the committee proceeded to former National Security Adviser, Colonel Sambo Dasuki (RTD).
