Bauchi Poly Matriculates 60,000 Students
AREWA AGENDA – The Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic, Bauchi (ATAP) has matriculated about 60,000 students for the 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 academic sessions.
The rector of the institution, Alh Adamu Sa’idu, stated this during the matriculation ceremony of the new students yesterday.
He said the rationale behind the merging of the two sessions was because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Alh Sa’idu used the medium to call on the matriculated students to desist from every form of cultism, examination malpractice, sexual abuse, drug abuse and indecent dressing in order to achieve their academic goals.

He said the polytechnic had institutionalised mechanisms to deal with any infringement from students as well as erring staff.
“Your purpose of stay on the campus should be of utmost importance to you considering the huge investment your parents and or guardians make to educate you.
“We give certificates based on character and learning. Therefore, students are advised to operate within the ambit of extant laws of the polytechnic,” the rector said.
Some of the matriculated students who spoke with LEADERSHIP Weekend expressed gratitude to the management for offering them admission, promising to reciprocate the gesture by being good ambassadors of the institution.
