Bandits kidnap two APC chieftains in Kaduna

AREWA AGENDA – Two chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaduna state have been abducted along the Kaduna-Kachia road.

The attack was said to have occurred on Thursday night at Tashar Icce, near Kujama, headquarters of Kajuru LGA of the state.

TheCable understands that the abducted persons are Mr. Madaki, a house of assembly candidate for Kajuru, and Reuben Waziri, the party’s vice-chairman in Kajuru LGA.

The party chieftains were returning from a meeting with governorship candidates and the Southern Kaduna Christian leaders forum when the incident took place.

Ben Maigari, a relative of Waziri, confirmed the incident, saying the bandits were yet to make contact.

He said the bandits blocked the road and opened fire on the entourage, adding that two persons travelling with the party members are feared to have died while those injured are receiving treatment at a hospital in Kaduna.

To improve the security situation in Kaduna state, there have been a series of attacks on terrorists’ enclaves in recent weeks.
