AMG Foundation Sends Forth Ex-Kano CP, Honours Outstanding Officers
The Aminu Magashi Garba Foundation (AMG Foundation) has expressed its readiness to continue to honour Nigerian police officers with outstanding track records in Kano State.
The assurance was given by the foundation’s chairman Dr Aminu Magashi Garba yesterday while briefing the t newsmen during Kano State Police Command Awards and Commendation Event held at the state’s command.
In his acknowledgement, the former Kano commissioner of police, AIG Muhammad Usaini Gumel noted that the police during his time as the CP of the state ensured it made life hellish for criminal elements.

Appreciating the excellent job of AIG Gumel, Dr Magashi noted that he was reputed for community policing strategy, which intermediates between kano citizens and more than 600 repentant thugs, by organizing friendly football match.
According to Magashi, this strategy is first of its kind and had yielded huge result in the state, by promoting Peace and harmony for the citizens.
Going forward, AMG foundation and Youth Society for the Prevention of Infectious Disease and social vices YOSPIS, vowed for their continued support for Kano state Police Command, adding that they will do their best to ensure sustainable peace stability in the state.
AIG Usaini then commended AMG Foundation oundation and YOSPIS for their supports during his time, and also Kano Police officers for their enthusiasm in delivering their tasks with ethics for fighting crime.
He also urged Kano citizens to abide by the law and shun all forms of criminal activities.
