AAG Foundation Partners MGK Healthcare To Educate Citizen On Hepatitis Disease

AREWA AGENDA – The Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo Foundation (AAGF) in collaboration with MGKF has pledged to continue several interventions at the grassroots level that would bring about good health structure and living hood of the people of Kano State.
The Technical Adviser of the foundation, Mr Musa Abdullahi Sufi made this known during the screening exercise in commemorating international hepatitis Day in the state at MGK clinic, Karkasara town , Tarauni Local Government Area of the state.

Mr Sufi said, enlightening the public with awareness creation and sensitization should be a mandatory effort for all Non-Government organizations that want any society to be free from the scourge, adding that the government is trying but that all and sundry have to put hands on deck to keep the epidemic at bay.
He appreciated his foundation’s partners with MGK foundation in marking world hepatitis day screening with counselling.
While speaking, the Chief Operating Officer of MGK, Pharm Ismail Usman said that Health is the most important sector that will never be underemphasized, but expressed his disappointment at the level of ignorance people have exhibited towards safe medication by checking on their health status on regular basis.
He noted that the liver is very vital in the human body that conducts a lot of activities which include detoxification, and metabolising food and drugs.
However, MGK foundation had been in partnership engagement with mega live sciences for a couple of years in conducting exercises to mark international health days in the state, which aim is to create more awareness to the public on the effect of hepatitis B and other classification of it to the human body system as it was identified as the silent killer by physicians expert.
