AAG Foundation Enrolls Two Girls Victim of Trafficking to School.

AREWA AGENDA –  Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo Foundation rescued two young girls from force labour and child abuse in Kano Stated.

The technical adviser of the foundation, Dr Musa Abdullahi Sufi disclosed this during an interview with journalists in Kano on how the foundation has intercepted and enrolled the young girls into school after been abused as house maid in the state.

The two girls were learnt to be 12years old and has been trafficked from different local government area in Kano, Madobi and Takai in particular.

In their narration to Dr Sufi, the victims expressed that going back to their parents will save them from been abuse as humans and reduce their exploitations on daily basis by their masters, so they decide to run away, although they earn Five Thousand Naira monthly; Two Thousand Naira goes to their parents at the village.

Dr Sufi narrating how he rescued the child-victims said, I took my car to the garage for some checked up, around 7:00am on Monday 4th October, then I saw set of people chasing young girls shouting for help to grab them, the girls came towards me for aid, so I asked what was the problem? Then an old man picked a cane to flog them but I stopped him. I served as mediator between them and asked several questions whereby the girls confirmed to me that they have been in terrible condition, ever they were employed as house maid at house.

Without any hesitation, I took each of them to there various destination within 12 hours journey, while I met their parents and Community Leaders including religious and traditional rulers, in which I sensitized them on the effect of child abused in any format in our society he added.

Abubakar Adamu Gwarzo foundation vows visits such villages in Kano to create awareness and eradicate poverty occurance in the community.

With immediate effect, the founder of Maryam Abacha American University Prof Abubakar Adamu Gwarzo, urge the foundation to take all measure and necessary responsibility of their school and empowerment.
