A Tribute to DCG Abdullahi Babani Madakin Katagum
AREWA AGENDA – I could not be more thrilled after receiving the news of ACG Abdullahi Babani’s promotion to a newer and higher position of DCG of Nigerian Custom Services.
Everyone wants to taste success, but success only follows the ones who are true to their approach of pursuing it. After coming closer to him, witnessing his selflessness and dedication toward serving the nation, I can’t think of a better person to achieve all that is achievable than Madakin Katagum.

Promotion is all about the three critical S’s – Success, Sincerity and Sacrifice. There is no point of contention that Madaki is one of the best in managing the three S’s diligently. Family, friends, colleagues, subordinates, and bosses will all testify to witnessing his display of the three S’s with absolute honesty.
With promotion, comes more responsibilities, bigger targets, tighter deadlines, higher expectations and much more, but deep down all of us out here believed in Madaki’s ability to deliver, because by his previous successes, he has shown the world that he is capable of achieving the impossible.
Congratulations would not be an apt word to celebrate what Madaki has achieved with his perseverance and hard work. I will only pray for his continued success and Allah’s guidance in the journey ahead.
